about

Karolina Piernikowska debuts on LXVIII as saeuer.

The polish producer joins LXVIII with her first EP of superbly crafted, aesthetic and deep trips of EBM-ish Techno while being reworked by label head XVIII and Serbian talent Murgaski.

Mournful melodies and beautifully executed chord progressions follow this release while communicating a powerful, eternal and stylistically performance. Modern Techno derivates that can be enjoyed in all sorts of environments as well as all kind of DJ sets. Saeuer doesn't miss the aesthetics of our style in this one with 3 original tracks while being remixed by label boss XVIII and Murgaski, previously known as Setha back from our first catalog.

Starting with title track 'Himmel' Karolina evokes feelings of eternal euphoria, beats that are ongoing and never-ending but also creating a danceable atmosphere throughout the whole track, this one can be a perfect use for a closing set. Murgaski reworks the track into a more static and excellent drum work, while being sub-heavy and enough lightness of touch to generate a blissful, pulsating movement.

'Hysteria' on the other hand curates more toward an EBM sound but also having a whole touch of Techno energy in it. Uplifting yet pleasing synths that go toward a reveling energy in which the word 'RAVE' is exactly what this track is about, saeuer offers some powerful and blistering waves of drive. XVIII takes hold of one of the most unhinged originals on the EP and crafts it into 2 parts; first one being unapologetic & hypnotic but also offering rough-edged vibes and rhythmic noise, second 'Obscure' remix is more driving, high energy with heavy filtered kicks while being followed by crushed delays, rolling percussions and pitched down tonality.

Last but not least 'Luftschlosser' being an impressive execution bookending a pair of abiding pads with a deep sense of emotion and undeniably detailed form of verb, this track closes one of the most articulated releases on LXVIII.
